conceptualized as being something to be played in the car while driving with the windows down... aiming to make something that would variably-interact with a changing land & soundscape (cars and textures pass you by, your own foot pressure (on pedal) making additional drones, potholes and the rhythms/abrasions of the road, you stop at stop signs and lights, maybe you hear the music of the car next to you and because you drive slow as soon as its time to go their music zips away from you.... if you're lucky you get caught by a train, maybe). ...something a bit different every time if attention floats that way.
...ultimately maybe a failed attempt at all the above (because I inevitably resort to old standards and approaches and constructions and impatience with time and waiting for more) but a good time none-the-less. give it a shot in your own car! if you don't have a car, call a friend! ...or call an uber and make them put up with it!
in practice & tests, usually at least one pretty great dialog with the world would occur per car-trip/test.
...lots of iterations of silence between things, in testing and listening to the edit and space while driving i certainly don't think their's enough silence (but that ultimately depends on where you're driving and what else happens, so...). Loud things appear and disappear, some slow fades in and out (like the silence, maybe not slow enough...), maybe making you notice the sounds not coming from your speakers too.
